The Bacon & Onions

Toss into a large skillet over medium-high heat and fry until about 75% crispy...

  • 12 oz bacon, chopped

Add to the pan and continue cooking until translucent...

  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced

Remove everything from the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside.

The Chicken Sear

In the same skillet with the remaining bacon fat, toss together and sear on all sides...

  • 1.5 lb chicken, cut into bite size strips
  • 1 tbsp dry ranch seasoning mix (half of a 1 oz packet)

Remove chicken and set aside with the bacon and onions.

Bringing it all Together

Again, in the same skillet add...

  • 32 oz chicken broth
  • 16 oz bow tie pasta
  • remaining dry ranch seasoning mix (half of a 1 oz packet)

Cover the skillet tightly with a lid and simmer until the pasta is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.

Reduce heat to low, then mix in until fully incorporated and melted...

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Return the chicken, bacon, and onions to the pan. Mix everything together until hot and velvety, then serve warm with a side of broccoli. Enjoy!

An ultra-creamy, cheesy weeknight dinner made entirely in one pan. Crisp bacon, tender seared chicken, and bow tie pasta simmer directly in a savory ranch broth on the stovetop before being finished with heavy cream and sharp cheddar.
