Mix or sift together into a large mixing bowl...
- 2 cups flour
- 1.5 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp salt
Add to the flour mix...
- 16 oz extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 lb sausage
Mix everything together until there's no visible flour mix left. This will require a lot of squeezing and kneeding of the dough until everything is incorporated.
Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
Bake at 350º F for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Best served up warm out of the oven.
