Note: If using instant or "quick cook" grits, reduce cooking time to package directions.
Return mixture to a boil then cover and reduce heat to a simmer.
Cook grits for 20-40 minutes, stirring frequently every 3-5 minutes to avoid them sticking to the pot or for a skin to form.
Serve immediately with a knob of butter and a side of bacon and eggs. Enjoy!
