Drain the liquid from...

  • 1 can (14.75 oz) of salmon (any variety)

Flake the salmon in a bowl and combine with

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp grated lemon or lime zest
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Mix together well and form into 4-5 patties.

Pan fry in a small amount of oil until browned on all sides.

Serve plain with a side of tartar sauce, or on a hamburger bun with your favorite condiments.

Mix together in a small bowl until well combined...

  • 1 tbsp chopped gherkins or dill pickles
  • 1/8 cup creme fraiche or sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup diced shallot or sweet onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • hot sauce (optional)
  • salt to taste

Put mix into a small serving dish and enjoy!
