If you have some leftover pork roast, this is an excellent way to use it. A wonderful, cuban inspired sandwich (Medianoche) is sure to please. I'm not normally big on pickles, but I gave it a try, and they were delicious!
Prep Steps
- 12 Hawaiian dinner rolls in half horizontally, keeping the slab whole {do:slice}
- 2 tbsp butter {do:melt}
Build the Sliders
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Set the bottom half in a 9x13-inch baking dish...
- 12 Hawaiian dinner rolls, sliced in half horizontally
Spread over the bottoms...
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup dijon mustard
Layer on, in this order...
- 8 oz thinly sliced deli ham
- 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast pork
- 8 oz sliced Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
Set the top half of the rolls in place and brush the tops with...
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Sprinkle with...
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Bake & Serve
Bake until the cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Cut into sliders and serve.
