Heat frying oil to 350ºF

When oil has reached temperature grab a small hand full of...

  • 2 oz Pasta Para Duros

Note: These look like small orange pinwheels and I can find them in the grocery section and sold in 12 oz bags or sometimes in bulk.

Drop a small handfull of the pinwheels into the oil and wait a few seconds for them to almost instantly puff up to full size. Wait till all dark orange spots are gone and then remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.

Season immediately with...

  • Lawry's seasoned salt

Alternatively you can serve these with chili powder and a sprinkle of lime for a more traditional approach.

Throw into a bowl and serve. Enjoy!

This has got to be one of the easiest snacks in the world to create. Frying them up in the oil doesn't dirty the oil, so it's not a big mess. And they fry up in literal seconds. The kids love seeing them puff up, and they're super tasty! What's not to like?!
