Pre-heat oven to 325º F.

Dice into 1/2 inch slices and fry in a large skillet over medium high heat until browned, then set aside...

  • 12 oz breakfast sausage links

Cut into 1 inch cubes and set aside...

  • 6 slices sandwich bread

Mix together in a bowl and set aside...

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Set aside...

  • 2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Evenly sprinkle half the bread into a 2.5-quart oval casserole dish. Layer on half the cheese and half the sausage. Repeat with the remaining bread, sausage, and cheese, then pour the egg mixture evenly over everything.

Bake in pre-heated oven for 60 minutes or until set. (Alternatively, you can arrange everything in a 9x13" casserole dish and cook for 45 minutes or until set.)

Remove from oven, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!
