Preheat oven to 450º F

- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt

- 3/4 cup milk
Turn dough onto a floured countertop and knead a few times until dough is workable.
Roll dough into a 1/2" thick sheet, then cut out biscuits with a 2.5" biscuit cutter.
Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
In a large skillet cook over medium-high heat until browned...
- 1 lb sausage
Set cooked sausage aside then add to a pot to form a roux...
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
When roux is formed add...
- 2 1/2 cups whole milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- The set aside sausage
Stir on medium high heat to desired consistency, serve over split biscuits. As the gravy starts to cool and thicken more milk may need to be added to thin it out again. Enjoy!
